Tournaments.

A tournament is a game you play until one player has every chip. Everyone starts with the same stack, and the blinds go up on a clock, so you can't just wait for good cards.

These are sit-and-gos: one table of 2 to 6 players. Lose your chips and you're out; your finishing place is the order you went out in. From level 3 everyone also posts an ante, a small bet before each hand.
